Sorry for posting a previously posted artist (back in December), but Fundays follow no rules. When Funday-stricken, you can’t help but post what your gut orders you to post. Astrud Gilberto demonstrates the true Funday spirit in this 1967 tune. Who needs words when you can make up your own?
This is the freshest we’ve ever been here at Sounds Like Funday. Given how long history is, most of the funday smokers are bound to be from the past, not from today. But hey, it happens! And we see that as a sign that the quest we’re pursuing here is paying off: the world is indeed getting more uppsluppen! We’ve sown and today we get to reap: The Coup with Black Thought and Talib Kweli. It’s a day to be proud!
This is one song that makes me happy. Maybe a little too many solos for every funday consumer to be happy, but that first drum fill is infamous, on one live album FZ made the whole band re-take the whole song in half the original tempo, since the fill was too fast for the drummer.
